I just spent 20 minutes discribing whole Damien and Lisa’s relationship to my mother
who, by the way, never heard of them before
all about it, along with Munich scandal and heartbreaking interview and “Little Bird” and I finished my heartbreaking soliloquy with “So the only person I wish him to be more with than with me is her. If you get what I mean.”
She looked at me, with a surprising dose of interest, and said “So, he’s an asshole.”
“But he writes AMAZINGLY!” said I.
“He’s still an asshole.” she replied in her heartless manner.
“I LOVE HIM!” I shouted “I will run away with him, live in an Irish cottage and plant a lettuce while he writes his beautiful, marvellous, stunning songs about him being an asshole! And also” I finally added “I am pretty sure you know some of his songs. Like ‘Rootless tree’. You know that one when he sings ‘Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you and all we’ve been through.’”
“I might have when you screamed to it in your ro…”
“SEE!” I cut her off “I SAID HE WRITES BEAUTIFUL, STUNNING, LOVELY SONGS!”
I just found this amazing video, I’ve never seen it before. They are all so amazing!
